Is Trivikrams God Of War Another Reboot

Trivikram Srinivas is known for rebooting and reimagining certain films in his own style.

There have been several instances where he has successfully adapted existing stories, including Vijaya Nirmala’s Meena as A Aa, the French film Largo Winch as Agnyaathavaasi, and Intiguttu as Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

There is also industry buzz that his upcoming film Adarsha Kutumbam 47 is inspired by a Korean or Hollywood film, but is undergoing changes as that is already used by the makers of Arjun Sarja’s ‘Blast’.

However, all these adaptations were rooted in Telugu nativity and sensibilities, making them feel like original works. Apart from storylines, a few individual scenes have also been directly inspired by earlier films.

For instance, the famous “Abaddam Chepithe Chasthavu” (If you lie, you die) badam tree episode is widely regarded as an adaptation of a scene from the 2012 Eddie Murphy film A Thousand Words.

Now, industry sources and film circles are curious to know whether Trivikram’s much-awaited God of War is entirely his original creation or if he has once again drawn inspiration from any classic mythological Tamil film before reshaping it for contemporary Telugu audiences.

Whether inspired or entirely original, one thing remains unchanged; Trivikram is a master storyteller. His ability to adapt ideas into engaging, emotionally resonant narratives has consistently worked with audiences.

Still, the curiosity surrounding the origins of God of War is unlikely to fade until the film hits the screens.
