Nikhil Naga Chaitanya May Have To Wait Until 2027

Nikhil has multiple films in production, but Swayambhu has been in the making for several months and is yet to finalise a release date.

Naga Chaitanya’s high-budget pan-Indian film Vrushakarma is facing a similar situation. Recently, the PR team hinted that the film could arrive in theatres in December 2026. However, that now appears unlikely, as Naga Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna’s 100th film, King 100, is scheduled for release on December 24.

It would be difficult for Naga Chaitanya’s film to release in the same month, making 2027 a more practical option.

Swayambhu is yet to complete its VFX work. Even after the film is ready, securing a release date in October or December could be difficult, with several major films already announcing their dates.

This leaves Nikhil Siddhartha in a difficult position. If Swayambhu does not make it to theatres this year, it would mean another year without a release for him, even though the film was originally planned for February 2026.
